What should I expect?
- It is July, so it may be hot. Average temp is 66F with range of 52-74F.
- Sunset will be at 9:05PM, wow!
- Some friendly dogs will be present
What should I wear?
- Dress code is semi-formal or cocktail attire–suits, nice dresses.
- The wedding is outdoors and the ground may be soft
- Comfortable shoes are strongly recommended.

Flying in?
Paine Field (PAE):
- A very small but nice airport.
- Only 10 minutes to the Mukilteo Ferry.
- Car rental: Turo is very easy here.
- Some direct flights from LAX.
Seattle Tacoma International (SEA):
- A very large airport.
- 1 hour or more to Mukilteo Ferry, depending on traffic.
- Car rental: many options available at off-site rental car center. Turo is also available. If you use Turo and select “free parking” at Sea-Tac, be aware that you have to walk 10 minutes and take the light-rail train 1 stop ($3).
How do I get to the Island?
- The easiest and most direct way to get to the island is by ferry! Great news, it is super easy!
- You do NOT need a reservation, simply drive up and pay at the toll-booth.
- The ferry runs every 30 minutes during the day, and every 1 hour after 10pm.
- On busy days, you may not catch the first ferry, so plan ahead to not catch it close if you are staying off island.
- If you don’t want to take the ferry for whatever reason, you can drive around the long way too.
